Once all 50 editions have been allocated, the Archive Collector Box Set Edition will be permanently closed and will not be reproduced.

The Story Behind The Work

ZIZO BONGEKILE MANONA I DOCUMENTARY PHOTOGRAPHER & VISUAL ARTIST

Photography found me through a love of art and a deep curiosity about people, place, and everyday life. The journey has never been linear, and I remain grateful to God, my ancestors, my mother, my family, and the many people whose presence and generosity have shaped both my life and my practice.

Over the years, I have learned that every photograph begins long before the shutter is pressed. It is a negotiation with yourself, with the craft, and with the responsibility of witnessing another person's story. It asks you to keep learning, to unlearn what no longer serves you, and to approach every encounter with honesty, humility, and care.
